Features: fruits separating into mericarps; elliptic; with carpophore bifid to the base; beak absent; mericarps homomorphic; densely hairy; 5.5-6.3 mm long; 2.0-2.4 mm broad; slightly compressed dorsally; with primary and secondary ribs; all primary ribs equal, keeled; mericarp ribs straight; secondary ribs filiform or secondary ribs keeled; calyx teeth prominent; equal to stylopodium; lanceolate; stylopodia low conical; styles short; spreading; cell borders indistinct; surface irregularly rugate; cuticle smooth or cuticle sparse striate; cuticle on hairs tuberculate; exocarp cells small; commissure broad, exocarp interrupted near edges of marginal ribs; inner fibrous mesocarp obsolete; mesocarp parenchyma not lignified; vascular bundles compact; situated in primary rib bases; vittae vallecular and commissural; solitary in furrows; two on commissural side; rib sectetory ducts large, present in all ribs; endocarp not lignified; crystals obsolete; endosperm flat, slightly convex or slightly concave on commissural side; embryo with two cotyledons.
