Features: fruits free, not separating into mericarps; orbicular or elliptic; carpophore obsolete; beak absent; mericarps homomorphic; glabrous; 2.0-2.2 mm long; 2.0-2.2 mm broad; terete; with primary ribs; all primary ribs equal, keeled; mericarp ribs straight; with entire margin; calyx teeth obsolete; stylopodia flat; styles short; recurved; exocarp cells small; commissure broad, exocarp interrupted near edges of marginal ribs; inner fibrous mesocarp obsolete; mesocarp parenchyma partly composed of cells with lignified pitted walls; vascular bundles compact; situated distally in primary ribs; vittae vallecular and commissural; solitary in furrows; two on commissural side; rib sectetory ducts obsolete; endocarp not lignified; endosperm flat, slightly convex or slightly concave on commissural side.

Note: primary mericarp ribs 5-6; massifs of parenchyma crlls with lignified pitted walls are situated near the rib bases under vascular bundles
